Downhill Skiing

Jackson Hole, Wyoming

This area, first tracked in the 1800's, has been preserved from modern urbanization and is known as the Gateway to Yellowstone and Teton National Forests. Taking a trip to Jackson Hole is and adventure that goes back in time when the West was rugged and wildlife roamed freely. The Old West spirit is alive at the Resort and in the town with wooden boardwalks and cowboy hangouts. But in place of roughrider shootouts, the adventures have become downhill descents.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort flaunts some of the most difficult terrain on the continent. Advanced skiers and riders meet their match on the two peaks. In addition, the beginner and intermediate skiers can enjoy the Resort's 22 miles of machine-groomed runs.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1

2:00pm - 4:00pm – Check into a upscale hotel in the heart of Teton Village, just steps away from the tram for ski-in, ski-out skiing.

8:00pm - 10:00pm – Off to a Dinner at GameFish. Chef Kevin Humphreys, a veteran of The Cloister at Georgia's Sea Island, creates a new approach to fine dining by blending authentic southern and western cuisine. His unique menu includes native fish, smoked game, and Wyoming Angus steaks.

Day 2

8:00am - 6:00pm – Hit the slopes for one of the top ski/snowboard experiences in the world. Known for steep terrain, consistent fall line, deep, light powder and endless backcountry.

10:30pm - 11:30pm – Head down the block the 'Brewpub,' as it is commonly known, offering internationally acclaimed microbrews. This locals' favorite is a great place to start out the night.

11:30pm - 2:00am - Off to the Million Dollar Cowboy. This legendary local bar on the square offers a much-used dance floor, saddles as bar stools, a silver dollar-inlayed bar, and even a few pool tables.

2:00am - 4:00am – Located on Cache Street, 'The Cabin' is probably the most popular late-night bar in Jackson. This two-level watering hole is often filled with young (21+) (and young-at-heart!) locals and visitors.

 Day 3

8:00am - 11:00am - Shower-up, eat breakfast, and shuttle to the slopes to meet the crew and the Double Blacks.

12:00am - 7:00pm – Ski all day on 2,500 acres of terrain and the largest continuous vertical rise in the country at 4,139 vertical feet.

7:00pm - 9:00pm – Relax and enjoy some food at one of the legendary microbrews this area has made famous before choosing from one of a number of casual restaurants

9:00pm - 2:00am Head out to some of the nearby bars to see how the locals party. We recommend washing down the oyster shots with a few shots of Jager.

 Day 4

8:00am - 11:00am – Meet the shuttle outside the hotel and enjoy a scenic ride back to the airport for your method of departure after a weekend to remember.
