Downhill Skiing

Lake Tahoe, Nevada

Framed by the towering peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and centered around a gorgeous blue body of water, Lake Tahoe is a place of majestic beauty. Nightlife in South Lake Tahoe is created around the casinos. There is of course the gambling and show entertainment but don’t count out the clubs and lounge bars.
 

Heavenly Ski Resort is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range at Monument Peak, straddling the state line between California and Nevada. Overlooking the south shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe, Heavenly is a ski resort like no other in the world. A resort with a mountain so big, it straddles two states. One with views so beautiful, you'll think your skiing in a postcard. One with weather so unique, you can anticipate over 360 inches of snow and 300 days of sun a year. And nightlife so wild, sleep seems overrated!
 

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1

2:00pm - 7:00pm – Fly into Reno airport and take the shuttle to your plush accommodations in South Lake Tahoe. Take in the view from the bar as you wait for the rest of the gang to arrive before it’s off to dinner and mayhem.

8:00pm - 10:00pm – Off to a steak dinner. Get all the beef you can eat as tomorrow is all about the slopes sun-up to sun-down.

Day 2

8:00am - 6:00pm - Shower-up, eat breakfast, and shuttle to the resort for a full day of skiing. Heavenly has the longest vertical drop in the Tahoe Basin with a mountain descent more than five miles long. From long intermediate cruisers to the chutes of Mott Canyon to the gentle slopes of the beginner areas, Heavenly has variety for skiers of all abilities.

10:00pm - 11:30pm – The Tahoe Pub is a tiny, well, pub with a small bar and pool tables downstairs and live music upstairs. A large draft beer selection is a welcome sight after a day on the road. A planned night at the casinos could easily settle into a full evening at "the pub."

11:30pm - 4:00am – When club fever hits, Mont Bleu answers the call. Here, the biggest cues of Vegas are recreated – dancer cages, large dance floors and light shows tuned to tunes. They go until 4 a.m. The casinos, by the way, never sleep.

 

 

Day 3

 

8:00am - 6:00pm - Shower-up, eat breakfast, and shuttle to the resort for a full day of skiing.

7:00pm - 9:00pm – You are on your own for dinner, but we will steer to a few local favorites or just grab some appetizers along the way.

11:00pm - 2:00am - Hit one of most popular locals spot to party. After 11, the small bar just north of the casinos can get jamming with residents.

Day 4

8:00am - 11:00am – Meet the shuttle for a ride to Reno Airport.
