CHARTER FISHING
New Orleans, Louisiana
Let’s clear the air up-front. The French Quarter
is alive and well. No floating houses or flooded hotels. The only Hurricanes
that will knock ABP travelers over are the ones they pour at Pat O'Briens.
New Orleans -- the city of jazz, of Creole culture, of a relaxed way
of life. The kind of place that can make all your ambitions disappear,
replaced by the desire to just lean back and let the surroundings filter
through all of your senses.
As
for the adventure, personal guides will gather the troops at a private
dock in a 24' bay boat for an exciting boat ride to catch red fish and
speckled trout. After a full day of fishing, return to the dock with
your catch cleaned and packed, ready to be cooked or frozen to take
home.
SAMPLE ITINERARY
Day
1
2:00pm -
7:00pm – Take the ABP shuttle from the airport
to the dock, where the bachelor party will be staying the first night.
Meet and greet the crew, fight for rooms, and regroup back on the porch
for a few beers before the welcome dinner.
8:00pm -
10:00pm – Gather together with the captain and
enjoy some Zydeco music, while splashing hot sauce on crawdads and catfish.
Southern charm and hospitality at it finest
11:30pm
- 2:00am – Time to catch up with the guys, swapping
stories, both old and new. Sit back under the stars and watch those
glowing crocodile eyes in the reeds; imagine how they are licking their
lips for the big fishing event tomorrow. Stubby will try to tell you
he gets by fine with three fingers, but don’t believe him.
Day 2
7:00am - 8:00am – Shake the
cobwebs off and head over to the main building for a bayou breakfast.
The fish will not just jump in the boat today, so eat all you can for
the days fight.

8:00am - 4:00pm – Join the fleet;
learn the difference between starboard and port. Hoist the main sail
(start the engine) and hold on to your new Gilligan hat scattered with
bobbers and lures. A brief break for lunch before reaching the catch
max and heading to shore for some photo opportunities in front of the
big board.
4:00pm - 5:00pm – Board the
shuttle for a brief trip to Bourbon St. Check into the hotel a stone’s
throw off the main strip. If a power nap is needed, this would be the
time.

5:00pm
- 7:30pm – For those that are still running strong, time
to hit Bourbon St to do a little recon work for the night’s activities.
Don’t have too many Hand Grenades or you will end up face down
in some alley before the night even gets going.
8:00pm - 10:30pm - Regroup at Giovanni’s,
where they will take your fish from the day and cook it up just the
way you like it.
11:00pm - 2:00am - This is it, the
night everybody was waiting for, Bourbon St. on a Saturday night. Start
out at Patty O’Briens for some Hurricanes. We know they go down
smooth and taste like fruit smoothies, but please be careful as they
pack a mean punch. After catching up on your Irish roots we have a plan
for you which goes like this: Here is you, there is the other end of
Bourbon St, along the way there are 500+ bars and clubs, you do the
math.
Day 3
8:00am - 11:00am – Meet the shuttle for a ride
to New Orleans Airport.
